Tuesday's Treasure and Tuesday's Timewarp

Tuesday's Treasure MeMe:

I know that today is Wednesday...So no I am not crazy hehehe but my dear friend Christy over at Petals and Pines hostess two different Memes every Tuesday that I have really enjoyed since she started them...So I decided to join in with her but I am a day late so I will be posting both pictures for the two memes in today's post combined....

This is a Tuesday treasure for me because last year around this time on a Tuesday (seriously) we received four to six inches of snow, which it had been about 8 years since we had snow here in my town. Which I thought this was a perfect treasure because so many of my dear followers and fellow bloggers are all snowed in because of the snow storm that hit the Midwest and the west. So here is a picture that we take of our back deck... I sure wish we could have a white Christmas this year, but I don';t see it happening....

Tuesday's Time warp:

Well here is a picture of me and my sister...My sister is going to be mad when she goes to my blog this morning and sees this picture...(sorry sissy....I still love you) but I just had to take it back to the day when we were learning to do our own hair because my mom said that we were getting old enough to try to do it...It looked a hot mess lol so you gals have my permission to laugh it up ok..... I laugh and laugh when I ask my mom for a good picture this morning to do Tuesday's Timewarp and this is what she give me lol by the way yep this me on the right with the brace on my hand and I probably mad because my hair was a horrible sight and I still had to go with my mom to church anyway lol...and that is my twin sister Latrice on the left just smiling.

Simple Woman Daybook

If you wold like to join in with this wonderful day book happenings ...please feel free to visit Peggy at her blog, she is a wonderful hostess and would love for you guys to visit..

FOR TODAY... December 7, 2009

Outside my window... It is a cold day out, I can tell by the frost on the windows....It's suppose to be in the low 50s today here....

I am thinking...about all of the things I have to do this week...

I am thankful for... all of my friends and family and my Sugar pie Farmhouse Sisters...You gals are the best...

I am wearing... a thick denim skirt with a white blouse with a Christmas tree on the front, and cozy bedroom slippers on my feet, with my hair in a ponytail...

I am remembering... how much fun we had for Cedric's birthday celebration this weekend, we really enjoy the movie " The Christmas Carol" in 3-D and our meal at Logan's Steakhouse...

I am going... to my eldest daughter choir performance tomorrow and then both girls dance performance is Saturday night...I will take plenty of pictures of both girls performances so everyone can see

I am currently reading... my Bible, I am currently reading in Matthew and I am trying to keep up with my sugar pie sisters group and finish reading the book we are all currently reading.

I am hoping... for a snowy Christmas : )

On my mind... the new baby that, the Lord's willing will be joining us in June, so he or she will be with us this time next year to celebrate Christmas with the family

Noticing that... my children are growing so much with each passing day.

Pondering these words... "Jesus says: 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. And I will give you rest for your souls'" (Matthew 11:28)

From the kitchen... Breakfast: hot french toast and maple syrup, Lunch: tuna salad and chips, and for Dinner: Baked chicken and green beans with cheesy potatoes and a pound cake for dessert.

Around the house... just finishing up some Christmas decorations outside, and some of the daily things that need to be done.

One of my favorite things... is with all of this cold weather and rain, cuddling with my family and watching Christmas movies (It's a Wonderful Life lol) and drinking hot cocoa.

From my picture journal...

Doesn't this picture just make you want to walk down the street and glaze at the Christmas lights and go shopping in the vintage shop for Christmas, this small town reminds me of the small town off of the Coast of Maine called Cape Light it's a little fitious town in the books my Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer. This picture is also painted by Thomas Kinkade and for everyone that knows me knows I love everything writing and painted by Thomas Kinade...Have a great week everyone.

Happy Birthday Cedric

glitter-graphics.com

Today is my dear hubby birthday and he turned the big 32 years old today.....I am just wishing him a happy birthday and may God bless him with many many more so that I may share these years with him.

Today the kids and I are taking him to see the movie The Christmas Carol because Jim Carey is one of his favoriate actors.

Then The children and I are taking him to his favorite resturant which is Logan's steakhouse. He loves their peanuts that we can just eat out of vintage buckets.

And then after all that our small town Christmas parade starts at 4:30 this afternoon so we will be capping off the evening with the parade. So I guess we will be seeing an early movie and early dinner so that we can make it to the Christmas parade......Have a great weekend everyone and be blessed.....

Our Town Holiday Tree Lighting...

Oh friends my family and I had so much fun at our annual downtown tree lighting on November 24. What the lighting up of downtown is when the city hall decorates all of downtown in lights and Christmas things then the mayor of our town turns the switch at 5:30 on The Tuesday before Thanksgiving and I must tell you it is beautiful. I am sorry that I forgot to take a picture of our town's annual Christmas tree in the middle of downtown but the lights are lit every night downtown until new years day so i will get one soon. We had a chance to meet the Grinch, Blues Clues,Santa Claus, the Gingerbread Man and many others. We rode on trolley rides, drank hot chocolate and ate doughnuts, and cookies. We listen to the Christmas carols while we had face painting and the children made reindeer food...Which I thought was a neat idea...all it is, is were the children each take a brown lunch bag and decorated any way that they what too and then the feel the bag with oatmeal and silver glitter and that was reindeer food..hehe its that a great idea. They are suppose to spread it outside for Santa's reindeer on Christmas eve. Well anyway we had a great time and we look forward to it every year.....I know some of the pictures are a little dark but we had trouble with the flash on the camera. So please enjoy and I will talk to everyone later this week....

(Don't forget to Turn Off The My Music Player on the Left Hand Side Befor Listening and Watching Video)

(Again I am sorry if the pictures are blurry or dark we were having problems with the camera)
